MAG Daily Blog: "Grandpa" Warren Buffet Speaks Out to the Youth!

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. chief executive Warren Buffet is a tycoon in business but ?he does still care something for the future of this great nation. Warren Buffet invites future business leaders to his headquarters in Omaha to discuss the trends of business and give them a few tips to help them in their careers. Warren Buffet is seen as the master of business who has some social conscious that guides his inner compass. Perhaps if more business leaders concerned themselves with the youth the future of the nation would be secured.

Students are given to ask questions of the billionaire and get responses. The questions range from career advice to trends in the business field. These student works are great for the educational learning of the student as well as the companies that hire them. The fact that Berkshire Hathaway has these events helps to shed light on the importance of university and business connects for a generation that may be lost in ethics confusion, rapid global change, and a lagging economy.

One of the pieces of advice that Warren Buffet has offered the students is to find the right spouse (Sidel & NG, 2012). The advice appears to make sense in the light of rapid divorce rights. The right spouse will support future business leaders and encourage them to do their best. It will be hard for leaders to focus on important work if they are engrossed in constant family affairs of a dramatic nature.

Warren Buffet also states that it is important to stay away from borrowed money (Sidel & NG, 2012). Borrowed money represents true poverty. It is not how much cash or assets someone has in their trust, which counts. It is more about how much assets and wealth are left over if all liabilities needed to be paid today. ?Paying interest to others is a sure way to have less wealth each year.

The advice doesn?t stop there. Warren Buffet also suggests that future business leaders avoid the emotions of the crowd (Sidel & NG, 2012). I heard once that in order to be successful one must ?do the opposite of the crowd?. In many ways this advice still holds true. If people are selling you might consider buying. If people are watching television you might consider shutting off the television to accomplish some goal.

Warren Buffet also discusses in public that many young Americans are casualties of class conflict the constant seeking of the wealth for self-advantage (Brooks, 2012). That power and money influence lawmakers to continually stack the deck against the average American. He calls this class warfare- immoral-and would like to see it improved

Warren Buffet has contributed greatly to the world in terms of business, finance, investment, and even the raising of the next generation. Business leaders have a responsibility to ensure they are leaving a ?legacy? behind for the rest of the world. With the increase in photo opportunities and public speaking Warren Buffet appears to have moved into his last stage of life want wants to leave something positive for the world. Perhaps if Warren Buffet ended his career in investment and turned his attention to the success of a nation Generation Y might someday call him ?Grandpa Buffet?. The more business leaders focus their attention on the future the more likely our nation will be able to climb back to world leadership.
